According to agent Eduardo Hernández, Arsenal striker Carlos Vela has joined West Bromwich Albion, on loan, for the rest of the season.
After enjoying positive spells in Spain with Salamanca and Osasuna, the Mexican returned to Arsenal and was one of the best players for the Club in the Carling Cup yet never managed to break into Arsene Wenger’s regular eleven even when the Gunners were short of players in the offensive department.
The 21-year old also failed to enjoy first-team football even last season and was dropped from the squad this year after the arrival of Marouane Chamakh from Bordeaux.
Arsene Wenger explained on Thursday that three teams were interested in the striker with Bolton Wanderers and Everton the other two Clubs according to reports.
The youngster will not be eligible to face his former Club when the two teams face each other in March as he joins Roberto di Matteo’s side knowing that his new objective will be to avoid relegation with his new Club.
