Carlos Vela ready to give options to Roberto di Matteo at WBA

Arsenal striker Carlos Vela – on loan to West Bromwich Albion until the end of the season – is ready to offer his versatility to his new Club as he’s ready to play on the left, centre and also on the right.
Speaking to the official website of his new Club, the Mexican striker confessed he told Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger how joining the Baggies was his preferred option as it is a good team with good players and with a mentality very similar to that of the Gunners. On featuring regularly for Roberto di Matteo’s side, the 21-year admitted it will not be easy and how he is ready to play whatever it takes to enjoy regular football.
Vela started for West Brom on Tuesday in the 2-2 home draw against Wigan Athletic and was substituted in the 58th minute after a below-par performance.
But, manager Roberto di Matteo believes the striker – short of match fitness – will be an important asset for his side as he will get better the more he plays and the more he gets used to his new team-mates.
On joining West Bromwich Albion, he said:
That’s why I preferred to come here. When I said to Arsene Wenger I’d decided to come here he was happy because he knows it is a good team with good players. He is happy with my decision. The style of the two teams is similar.
I want to try and play every game but I know it will be difficult because the other players are good. I need to work hard and try to do good to play more. I feel very well and I’m working hard every day. I can play on the left or right, or in the middle
