Cesc Fabregas, “I take full blame for the result tonight”

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas was bitterly disappointed after the Gunners crashed out of the Champions League.
Writing on his Twitter account, the Spaniard was full of praise for the travelling Arsenal fans as he took the blame for losing the game at the Camp Nou. The 23-year old’s attempted back heal in a dangerous area of the pitch resulted in the Barcelona player winning the ball and scoring the first of three goals with the midfielder describing the episode as one of his worst of his life.
Very close to join Barcelona last summer, the youngster was a shadow of himself last night, missing easy passes in the first part of the game and failing to make an impact before leaving the pitch in the 76th minute.
The Gunners desperately need to bounce back and produce a top class performance at the end of the week against Manchester United at Old Trafford or else they will find themselves fighting only for the English Premier League title.
After the game, he wrote on Twitter:
Great support from the arsenal fans. I take full blame for the result tonight. One of the worst moments of my life. I apologise.
