According to many, the International break couldn’t have come at a better time for Arsenal as they hope to have all their injured players back for the game against Blackburn.
Ahead of the game, captain Cesc Fabregas explained that his recovery from a hamstring injury is getting better as he confessed it was a bizarre season in terms of suffered injuries and how he is working very hard not only to be back in action but also to make sure not to suffer a setback as it was the case against Barcelona in the Champions League and also last season.
After last week’s 2-2 draw away against West Bromwich Albion, the Gunners desperately need the likes of Theo Walcott, Alex Song and Cesc Fabregas back as they lacked ideas in the final third against the Baggies.
With nine games left, Arsenal know that the home game against Manchester United could decided this season’s Premier League title but they also have tricky away games against Tottenham Hotspur, Bolton, Stoke City and Fulham where they simply cannot afford to drop precious points.
On his recovery, the Spaniard said:
Everything is getting better. It’s been a weird season for me with injuries and I just want to make it right, and I want to come back stronger than ever and fitter than ever so that it won’t happen again. Hopefully you will see me against Blackburn if I’m fit.
