Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is finally enjoying football once again with the Gunners and Wales as he admitted hard work is essential to reach your targets.
Speaking to Arsenal TV Online, the Welshman started by explaining he started playing football at the of eight, a game he always loved and how hard work was always a priority having spent hours, days and years playing the game.
Asked about Jack Wilshere and playing alongside another young talent, the 20-year old joked about the fact that the two very rarely played together as first the Englishman was loaned out to Bolton and then of course he suffered the injury against Stoke City which kept him out of action for months.
But now fully recovered and grateful for the support of the fans who were fantastic when he made his comeback against Manchester United in the F.A. Cup, young Aaron Ramsey has objectives in life: securing a regular place in Arsene Wenger’s starting eleven, win trophies and help Wales achieve their targets.
Ahead of the last nine games of the season, the midfielder said:
I’ve been playing football since I was eight years old. I always loved playing football. I spent many hours and days and years playing football so there’s been a lot of hard work going into it as well.
When I was playing Jack was on loan at Bolton. And then I had my injury and he’s been playing this season so we didn’t have much opportunities to play together. Hopefully we’ll have the opportunity in the near future and I’m sure we can do well together.
The fans cheered me and gave me a standing ovation when I came on [against Manchester United]. I’m very thankful for that. They have been tremendous all the way through, helping me get through [the injury] and I just want to give something back to them, hopefully putting some good performances and win the league at the end of the season.
I want to become a regular in the Arsenal first team, win trophies, qualify for something for Wales and obviously become a great midfield player.
