According to Holland’s Bert van Marwijk, Arsenal striker Robin van Persie should be fit to start for the Gunners tomorrow against Blackburn Rovers.
Speaking after the game, the manager explained that the striker should be fully fit despite having to prematurely abandon Wednesday’s game against Hungary.
The 27-year old was tackled by defender Vilmos Vanczak in the first half of the 5-3 victory for the home side and was replaced by former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy before the second half kicked-off.
The Gunners are second in the English Premier League five points behind leaders Manchester United but with a game in hand as they host Blackburn Rovers at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday with the Red Devils in action away from home against West Ham United.
On van Persie, the Dutch coach said:
He got kneed in his thigh. But he can play with Arsenal again this weekend.
