Arsenal midfielder Andrey Arshavin believes the International break has helped the players bounce back from back-to-back disappointments in March.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, the midfielder declared that the last nine remaining games for Arsenal are not impossible games to win as he added that the Gunners would of course be crowned champions if they manage to win all nine games.
Asked about competing in only one competition at this stage of the season, the 29-year old confessed it would of course be ideal to still be in all competition but how the players should no longer think of what happened last month but instead focus on the Premier League as he explained that everyone is refreshed after returning from the International break.
And on meeting Avram Grant ahead of this weekend’s fixtures, Arshavin concluding by joking that he had a chat with the West Ham manager and asked him to help Arsenal’s cause by “stealing” points away from Manchester United in today’s early kick-off.
Ahead of today’s game, Arshavin said:
I think our schedule is not so bad, that is why if we win all our games we have a good chance to be champions.
I think everyone in our team would prefer to have more possibilities than only one trophy, but everything is in the past, that is why we have to concentrate on the Premier League matches.
Straight after it was very difficult for everyone, but now we have come back after the internationals and have refreshed our minds and maybe it will help us. I think we are in the race.
I met with Avram Grant yesterday, we had a chat and I have asked him to steal some points from Manchester United this weekend!

It shouldn’t be about stealing points from ManU but about us winning all our remaining matches by giving it all on the field of play rather than shooting off from the lips!!!
