Lee Dixon: I don’t think Andrey Arshavin is happy at the Club

Former Arsenal fullback Lee Dixon believes the future of Andrey Arshavin could be away from Arsenal as his body language on the pitch shows that he is not a happy man.
The Englishman – who just signed for I AM PLAYR – was answering questions made by our team about manager Arsene Wenger and individual players of the squad and confessed that in his personal opinion the Russia International misses the St. Petersburg lifestyle and might want to return to his country.
The 47-year old added that the midfielder made an impressive impact after he joined the Gunners during the 2009 January transfer window but it now seems that his mind is elsewhere and that this summer – if that’s the case – maybe the Gunners should consider putting him on the market.
On Arshavin, Dixon said:
I don’t think he’s happy at the Club, I think he misses St. Petersburg, I think he misses that lifestyle. I don’t know this, it’s my impression of what he looks like on the pitch, he was a revelation when he first got in the team.
I think he settled down in the [Premier League] quite well but he doesn’t look happy to me, he just looks like he wants to be elsewhere, if that’s the case with the player – and it might not be, I don’t know – then let him go.
Lee Dixon Signs For I AM PLAYR
Former England and Arsenal full back and BBC football pundit, Lee Dixon is a script and storyline contributor for I AM PLAYR, the first-ever point-of-view football online game.

Players have to balance both sides of the modern footballer’s life. Their challenge is to be the best they can on the pitch by training hard to develop their skills and earn the respect of their peers, whilst off the pitch building their profile and earnings by navigating the maze of endorsement deals, appearance opportunities and glamorous parties… possibly at the cost of their football playing career.
After starting with a cameo pundit role in I AM PLAYR’s talking heads show GOAL MOUTH Dixon became a huge fan of the game and subsequently signed up to bring his own on and off-pitch football experience to the fast-growing online game by advising on scripting and new storylines.
