Queens Park Rangers midfielder Adel Taarabt confessed he would be delighted to join a big club in the Premier League but only if he would feature for at least 20 games.
Speaking to Football365.fr, the 22-year old explained that Chelsea would be his first preference if the Blues make contact adding that he would however turn down a move if given no assurances over first-team opportunities.
Asked about Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal, the Morocco International said that joining the Gunners would be an important step in his career and that he would be delighted to join players he already knows like Samir Nasri but, he again explained that his objective is to feature on a regular basis.
Two months ago, the midfielder revealed that he often talks with Marouane Chamakh about life at Arsenal and the Premier League, confessing that his friend had little or no issues at all to settle down, mostly because of the French language.
On his future, the 22-year old said:
I like the London clubs. I do not hide my liking for Chelsea [although] I would prefer to play regularly at QPR to being on the bench for a season at Chelsea. Now, if they told me I’d play 20 games per season, I think I’d be very tempted.
The idea [of joining Arsenal] is very appealing. Especially since there is also Samir Nasri, who I know very well, but after that, there is a real possibility of playing the minimum.
[Joining a big club] is currently what I’m trying to achieve. Today, I have a two-year contract with QPR. Yes, there is contact, but I cannot say more, as you can imagine.
