that squad is just not going to compete this year. i’ve just read wenger’s comments in the press conference and the prognosis is not good. he’s banging on about “super quality” players transfer wise and how we are not near signing anybody at the moment although there “might be something next week”. it’s not looking good and the smokescreen surrounding fabregas and nasri is just laughable.

  • Wenger, dont allow these players to play in the premier league and you have to buy big players like HAZARD,LUKAKU,JAVIER MATINEZ,CHAMBALAIN,ALVARO,CAHILL,SAMBA,EMMANUEL RIVIERE,MARVIN MARTINS,OSAZE,REMY and MARCO VALBUNA.SIR KBO2 M.SHINKAFA,BAUCHI-NIGERIA.

    • Haris says:

OK just wait, first he needs to turn water into wine and then he will make your wish come true :)

    • hmmm says:

      Someone plays football manager alot…..

  • petethemeat says:

my local football team have 2 cheep c.b. they are not very good but they are available for a realistic price £1.50 each total of £3.00 perhaps some one in the know can have a word

  • Jj says:

What is that crock squillaci stil doing at arsenal! he’s not good enough!

  • TrueGooner says:

Why no Afobe. We need to see more of him

  • Lukman akoka says:

is good to have Ryo back in the team. I wish him best of best.

  • Arsenal says:

The squad was looking pretty smart and good for a friendly, and then I saw the two dreaded words “Sebastian” and “Squillaci”. I hope Lansbury gets a chance to shine, genuinely excited about him, especially if he breaks out this season and becomes another Jack Wilshere

  • Kylmis says:

I’m little bit scared that Arsenal will sell Nicklas Bendtner. If i am honest i don’t like the guy at all lazy and poor trainer. But somewhere inside i believe that he is still gonna be something big. At the moment we have only one great striker and one decent striker (Vela). And then we have Chamakh. Why, why, why? Why that shitty player is still here? If we don’t buy we have to keep Bendtner, cause Chamakh isn’t good enough. Sell Chamakh, keep Bendtner as back up, buy Campbell or Lukaku. I actually liked style of Joel Campbell, ok he seemed little bit lazy, but he is clearly a poacher and maybe that is exactly what we need.

    • adamski says:

chamakh did the business when he was called upon, while the ink was still wet on his Arsenal contract he was filling in the CF role a the start of last season and he had 8 goals to his credit. regardless of how u look at that he had a good opening season in the prem. look at nasri, he was with us for 3 seasons before he turned out 4 months of quality and even then he flaked away horribly at the business end of the season. so give the guy a break and see how he settles and dont dare say that the lanky danish plank was better because to put it quite simply, Bendtner was and always will be a thoroughbred donkey

      • Gunner4ever says:

I can’t believe you compare Chamakh to Nasri! Chamakh is shit! If i had to choose back up for RVP and the options would be Bendtner and Chamakh i would choose Bendtner anyday! But i guess we should sell them both, keep Vela and buy Campbell, that’s good business.

  • Savage says:

Curious with Ryo – different laws down there?

    • Aussie Jack says:

I agree…what`s with the work permit jazz?

    • jdilla4ever says:

well techincally its still pre season so he can feature for us without the special talent visa

  • serge says:

i dont care if lansbury is in the team wenger its not time to experiment with rubbish, drop sqallaci (wish i knew how to spell that oath of a name) and play a solid squad and take vela he needs a bit of hardship on the field, hes amazing but he looks like his heads are in the cloud

  • Kenny says:

Arsen wenger need 2 sign sum experience players 4 d young lad 2 excel,if not am sory i c anoda trophless season in front.

  • Hugochuqu says:

Why is it that AW doesnt want we the fans some HAPPINESS. Take a look at the squad list what do U SEE from 4 goals lead to 4-4draw,2goals lead to 3-2defeat,2-0 to 2-2,no+ no-

  • 037 says:

I wonder why Wenger is loaning Bartley out and keeping Miquel?

Bartley seems the better and the more experienced of the two for 4th choice defender

  • Emanuel says:

Mexican media today started saying Vela could play in Spain for Real Sociedad. I love to see him playing for Arsenal so it’s a shame if it turns to be truth.

  • Bouba says:

I heard Wenger press conference and him saying that he has a “super” squad and he is not close to sign anyone…!!!

Same old Wenger, same old thing every year… And I guess ( no, I am convince ) same old result at the end of the season : NOTHING to put our teeth on…!!

That’s the same squad as last year ( 2 players close… ). I hope that Gervinho is the new ” Eto” with 25 goals in his bag and that Jenkinson is the reincarnation of “Tony Adams”…!!!

Is it with this squad ( Nasri and Fabregas added hopefully otherwise we are seriously “F….. ) that we are planning to win the league or any other “valuable” competitions ( or the objective still a top 4 finish ) ?

TOTAL JOKE of a manager !! He has lost the plot…!!

I see a lot of sensitive and realistic comments are getting the thumb down… It might be Wenger doing it.

Because if you give a negative rate to someone saying that we won’t win a competition, Vela, Gibbs, Lansbury, Afobe ( all those inexperienced youngsters ) should be first team and you still believe Wenger is the man for the job…!

you are living in “COUCOU” land, you are as deluded as him and you have become addicted to “MEDIOCRITY”…

I know I am not, that is why I have not bought my usual season ticket… I am tired of being ripped off ( 6 years now ) and filling the board pockets… And for what results ??

  • tom h says:

Same old story with wenger give up on your hopes of a new signing. Special squad my arse, teenage deadwood and players that dont even want to play for us. I wish cesc and nasri would piss off and leave the way the pair of them act is disgusting!. If they acted like this in a normal job they would be fired so why not in football.
We only have one good central defender and one good striker, how much of a retard is wenger not to see that. Any of you who label me a anti wenger negative bad fan…wake up and smell the coffee! I love this club but its going nowhere, we will slide down the table with a squad this weak.
My love for arsenal is like a worn out relationship, i need that spark back as does arsenal fc. Im affraid the only way i can see his happening is with a positive new manager.

  • Aussie Jack says:

From what I read Squillaci is taking on the mantle of Denilson, not good. Maybe it would be wise for him to move on while he`s in front?

  • NIJUN says:

sorry for the interuption, man i miss dennis bergkamp after saw him played at VDS testimonial…truely legend!!! His game is very good, his brain is very quick, wish him can tutor the younger player how to play like that, instead running and losing the ball to the opponent..

  • gt says:

Switching gear a bit… I am curious about what is Ryo’s coverage by the Japanese media and how they rate him? With so many established oversea players from that country (a few in the Bundesliga) I would like to know how much attention they pay to Ryo. Any Japanese Gooner here that can give your insight?

  • Rami says:

Its very sad to see players like Fabregas and Nasri wanting to leave Arsenal. R.V.P. is the only player that would be draging Arsenal to victories. Fabregas is making a big mistake by wanting to leave now. He should at least respect his contract and then go to his home grown club. Carlos Vela is my favorite player of all mexicans along with Giovani Dos Santos. That said i hope Vela goes out on a loan to Spain so he can get pleanty of game time but i think Wenger will keep him as a bench wormer and only use him on easy games. I cant believe that vela is playing in my favorite team though.
