Carlos Vela’s agent on a possible loan move, “Three Spanish clubs interested”

Carlos Vela’s agent confirmed that the Mexico International is very close to a loan move with Spain as the most likely destination.

Speaking to ESPN, Eduardo Hernández explained that three Spanish clubs are interested in the striker and although he opted not to reveal the name of the teams he did reveal that he will meet with all three of them in the coming days.

Asked about interest by Real Sociedad, the agent confirmed that the Spaniards held talks with Arsenal but no agreement has been reached as yet.

Vela, 22, spent the second part of last season on loan with West Bromwich Albion, scoring two vitals goals for the Baggies against Wolves and Stoke City. He returned to Arsenal at the end of the season and scored two goals this summer, in pre-season friendlies.

On his client’s agent, Hernández said:

Vela will probably leave Arsenal on loan this summer, three Spanish clubs are interested and I will soon meet with the three of them.

It will be a one-year move, it’s good for both parties, for the player and for Arsenal. Carlos wants to play and I’m sure he will.

[Real Sociedad?] They met with Arsenal and we are waiting for a response. They are interested in signing Carlos but no agreement has been reached as yet.

He just isn’t ready to star for a top club in the Premier League yet… He’s not a winger and is behind Van Persie, Chamakh and Gervinho in the pecking order. If he goes to Spain he should get to play every game and this will be great for his growth. That is why it is win win for Carlos and Arsenal…

    • A.M says:

Its about time Carlos starts thinking which is HIS best position and working towards it because seriously, I dont even think he knows himself. And he’s got Arsene to thank for that too.

  • Aussie Jack says:

I must say I`m a little disappointed in Wenger. He did say Vela was part of his plans for the coming season, yet again he`s going out on loan. In the interest of the players confidence I think Wenger should come clean. He`s either an Arsenal player or he`s not and he`s not getting any younger.

    • A.M says:

I think its about time mate where we accept the fact that Arsene himself doesnt know what he says anymore

  • mano'gunner says:

What the hell Wenger? You keep Vela for so long and still won’t play him. Either play him or sell him. He has been on loan long enough

    • JohnDale says:

      Right on.

If i were Vela, i would just leave cos Wenger doesn’t even seem to know what to do anymore. You don’t see Fergie paling Chacarito on the wing do you? Either play him where he best fits or just let him leave. Enough already.

  • Clément says:

ARSENAL SOURCE: I can confirm that by monday 15th, Carlos Vela will be included in the Juan Mata’s deal. He will join Valencia on a one year loan with Arsenal paying 16 millions euros +3 millions based on appearances and succes. Mata has already agreed a deal of 63k pounds per week wage.

    • Simmer 10 says:

Wow good scoop @clement,I hope your right, but what about the 23 mill buy out clause as of Aug 1st?

  • josh says:

wow way to ruin a players potential…nice arsene

  • Diego says:

wow i really cant believe anything Wegner sais now…telling us Vela is in his team plans this season?… I think we all know how good Vela is… im so sick and tired of Wegner messing with this kids career..he has way too much skill to be riding bench or used as a loan puppet. His contract ends next summer.. I hope carlos has learned his lesson that coaches lie through their a** and really dont care about your personal benefit only theirs.(.like Wegner)..this kid has a golden boot for God sake..he makes goalies look like children..and his touch on the ball is beautiful.. If Vela was given the same chance Chicharito was given…Vela would have also taken the golden opp and ran with it…this is sad how he gets treated and Wegner should be ashamed .. I hope Vela finds a team that appreciates his talent and is SMART ENOUGH TO SEE IT and tears up the pitch so the world can finally see what Vela is really about…haha mark my words this will be the greatest talent Arsenal has ever passed up on.

  • sam says:

if its true then arsene is a genius, swaping a loyal player to another expensive homesick spanish.
we know what vela can do in arsenal shirt, we really don’t know what mata could do once he starts missing mama.
i am not really excited about paying big money for a spanish player

  • James says:

Shame…cannot wait for him to get a proper chance to shine. One of the most clinical finishes (behind RvP) that we have. Maybe if he was a little stronger on the ball…dunno. He definitely has the goods.

  • Willy young says:

Off subject a bit but with Jack and Aaron out injured and Fab / greedmidget gone who the hell is going to play midfield on Sat? Song / Rosicky and who? Lansbury?

    • Aleito says:

      Arshavin!

      • A.M says:

Pat Rice and Arsene himself im guessing

  • Adrian says:

This is what I don’t get, they didn’t let Vela go to the Copa America because they wanted him in the squad, I guess they were hoping for a good pre-season from him so they could up his value on the market. Over the years we’ve seen Vela go from starting in the World Cup for Mexico to not being called up because of lack of playing time. Wherever he goes, I hope he gets the minutes he deserves.

    • Diego says:

yes very true, and its really Wegners fault…not only did he personally ruin his club chances in an arsenal shirt..but also in his own countries shirt.

  • GabeC says:

Carlos Vela played with some second division teams scoring wonderful and important goals. He had the Spanish press talking great things about him. He went to Osasuna and his coach and team mates didn’t really want him to leave. This of course was all before he won the u-17 world cup against Brazil, and also was awarded the golden boot for the tournament playing with other great footballers like Giovanni Dos Santos, Javier Hernandez, Hector Moreno etc.
He then went to Arsenal to amaze us all with his wonderful skill, pace ,speed, intelligent passing and brilliant goals. He was always given just a little playing time and he did the most out it. In my opinion he deserves more playing time for what he has shown that he is able to do. I’m not sure why other players like Bendtner got more playing time than him. Wegner is clearly confused and is not being smart about his choices lately. I hope that for Vela’s sake he goes somewhere his manager can see his qualities and use him

  • eman says:

Seriously who in this team has love for the jersey? Go ahead and sign
Some spanish player who in the end dreams of going to barca or real.
This kid can score if you need goals he delivers. Now you brimg in 3 strikers.
To whom your not even know how there gonna react when the lights come
On. Rvp is awesome but fragile. Just play the kid and get it over with.
Then make a decision after half a season or something. Really sloppy
    Managing.
