Carlos Vela’s agent confirmed that the Mexico International is very close to a loan move with Spain as the most likely destination.
Speaking to ESPN, Eduardo Hernández explained that three Spanish clubs are interested in the striker and although he opted not to reveal the name of the teams he did reveal that he will meet with all three of them in the coming days.
Asked about interest by Real Sociedad, the agent confirmed that the Spaniards held talks with Arsenal but no agreement has been reached as yet.
Vela, 22, spent the second part of last season on loan with West Bromwich Albion, scoring two vitals goals for the Baggies against Wolves and Stoke City. He returned to Arsenal at the end of the season and scored two goals this summer, in pre-season friendlies.
On his client’s agent, Hernández said:
Vela will probably leave Arsenal on loan this summer, three Spanish clubs are interested and I will soon meet with the three of them.
It will be a one-year move, it’s good for both parties, for the player and for Arsenal. Carlos wants to play and I’m sure he will.
[Real Sociedad?] They met with Arsenal and we are waiting for a response. They are interested in signing Carlos but no agreement has been reached as yet.
