A striker and yet another one to replace Cesc Fabregas in midfield are today’s players linked with a possible move to Arsenal.

According to Sky Sports, FC Twente’s Bryan Ruiz is a target for Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal. The 25-year old is quoted as saying that “there is a team that is showing interest” with the Costa Rican apparently available for £7m.

In other news, ESPN believes that if captain Cesc Fabregas leaves this month to join Barcelona then Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Jadson could be the one to replace him. Whether this 27-year old with experience in Brazil and Ukraine is the answer to all our midfield problems is yet to be seen but for sure is that if the Catalan leaves then we desperately need to replace him.

And before moving on to today’s poll, a look at yesterday’s results in which we collected more than 1,500 votes and with both players, Shinji Kagawa and Danny Welbeck getting an interesting amount of positive votes from those who voted.

As always, please let us know your preference on today’s linked players and don’t be shy to join the discussion in our newly-launched Arsenal forum.

    • George says:

I live here in Brazil, and I can tell you that he is great player better than Fabregas if I may say so. A couple of things though he is injury prone and is going to cost a lot. Also he is not leaving Santos till they play that fixture against Barcelona. Maybe in December we can get him !

Wenger, is a good coach no doubt. but he should listen to the fans. am a very big fan of arsenal fc.i hate to see Arsenal fumble. let me suggest the following to wenger and Arsenal management. Buy a midfilder that has John Terry Quality. 2. Buy an experience keeper. 3. Buy a business-like, power player. 4.Buy a player with leadership quality and decorate him with Arsenal Captain badge.

With respect to the above suggestions Arsenal will become a team to beat

  • LondonJay says:

None of the above are good enough, this stinks. Sell 2 Players for 60mil buy 2 players worth 20 combined..same old Arsenal. With a 25% increase in tickets and a 30% reduction in talent i wont be going next season. I wont even watch on sky i will watch online as not to give Arsenal the view figures. The move from the Emirates looks like it could ruin our club. If we slip out of top 4 and no CL money coming in we will have less to spend, less to pay off our loans and slip futher down. There is rot in our foundations and that stems from Wenger. When he makes a comment in July like ” if we sell Nasri and Fab it means we are not a big or competitive club, big clubs don’t sell their big names ” well done Wenger!! In Wenger we are loosing faith!
