Arsenal ‘hold meetings’ in £10m striker pursuit – report
Arsenal are ‘holding meetings’ with Lazio striker Mauro Zarate, and hope to sign the £10 million star before the transfer window closes in a few weeks, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Zarate has scored 25 goals in 103 appearances for Lazio since signing for the club in 2008. The Argentinian has drawn attention from numerous clubs in Russia, Spain and England.
And while Arsenal are reportedly on the lookout for a centre-back and playmaker, the London club have also started chasing the striker to build on their forward line and finally end a six-season-long trophyless run.

Arsenal plot £34m double swoop to bolster attack
Arsene Wenger will reinvest some of the cash generated from the sale of Cesc Fabregas in to the signings of Lille pair Eden Hazard and Moussa Sow, according to caughtoffside.
The Gunners boss is planning a busy 13 days prior the close of the transfer window and he has declared that he is not afraid to splash the cash, claiming: “I will pay 30 (million) I will even pay 40 if I find the right players.
Wenger has already signed Gervinho from Lille and will look to raid the club again with a £34m double bid for midfielder Hazard and striker Sow.

You people are telling me that Lille will let 2 of their best players leave the club in one go.
I know we are desperate ( really desperate ), but other clubs are not deluded like the Arsenal transfer staff… Hazard and Sow? come on !!
I agree with you The Monk, I will even say that if he does sign anybody, I will get my season ticket ( I promised I will not anymore as it was a total waist of money )…
