Arsenal Prepare Move for €18m Rated Argentine Star

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is set to step up his pursuit of Lazio’s versatile Mauro Zarate after the latest comments coming out about the players future at the club, according to reports on Sky Sports.

During the course of the summer transfer window Zarate has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs including, Tottenham and Chelsea.

Nasri Man City deal still alive

Samir Nasri’s £23m move to Manchester City is still alive – despite a hold-up that saw him play in Arsenal’s home defeat against Liverpool on Saturday.

Nasri’s surprise appearance came as reports in France claimed the transfer had broken down and the midfielder was now set to stay at Emirates Stadium for the rest of the season.

It is believed the framework of a deal is in place between City and Arsenal as well as Nasri but financial details remain to be ironed out before the switch can be finalised.

Why £26m would be a bargain for this Arsenal target

According to sources in France, Lille have slapped a £26 million price tag on Arsenal target Eden Hazard– great news!

The 20-year-old winger has been on Arsene Wenger’s radar for quite some time now and having lost Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona a few days ago and Samir Nasri looking increasingly likely to depart for Man City – surely Wenger will step up his interest for the talented Belgian within the next 14 days?

Bremen slap £9m price tag on Arsenal target Mertesacker as Wenger’s search continues

Werder Bremen have placed an £8.7million price tag on Arsenal target Per Mertesacker, as Arsene Wenger continues his quest for a centre half.

The Bundesliga side need to raise funds and would sell the 26-year old Germany centre-back.

Wenger is also considering Birmingham’s Scott Dann and has not yet given up on Everton’s Phil Jagielka despite the 28-year-old wanting to stay at Everton.

Arsene this is my message to you… if u dont spend on a centre back, centre mid and a striker before the transfer window shuts and u dont spend on these players in january we will struggle to get a top 5 place this year and dont spend on a teenager spend on a proven player. If you dont get a top 4 finish this year personally i will want u sacked and i think the majority of the arsenal fans will agree with me.

    wenger we need experience
    player.

  • WoolwichGunner says:

Err no actually, i think you will find the majority of us dont want him sacked. For god’s sake listen to yourself, the guy has consistently puched Arsenal above their weight for 15 years and he has one blip at a start of a very tough season and you call for him to be replaced…..Replaced by who then eh ???

Just because you read in the media that someone is on Arsenals radar does not make it true. And then when that person is not signed everyone jumps on the bandwagon and starts calling for Wenger to be sacked…..It would be nice if we did sign Hazard, Cahill, Zarate and one more and these could all be true stories but until the transfer window closes lets just wait and see. For the last 3 seasons we have been written off before the first football was kicked and we still managed the top 4 finish so all this “wenger needs to be sacked” talk needs to stop and fans need to start getting behind the team instead of booing them off after a game.

    Come on Arsenal……………………

Punched above our weight for 15 years??
Arsenal were a top side when he took over, right up until we went unbeaten and won the F.A cup..then he went off and started the ”building for the future” project which quite frankly fell by the waistside..I dont see why he couldn’t have done like united have done, which was integrate young players into the side 1 or 2 per year while holding oto the majority of experienced players, thats how it should have been done…
His plans havent worked, we’re trophyless for the last 6 years and i would be willing to give him a chance again this season to win something..if nothing avails from it at the end of the season, i would call for him to go…
If he was to be sacked, the right man to bring in would be Frank Rijkard, cos the plyers would not have to adapt to a completely now way of playing..he might even encourage them to shoot when they are in and around the box

  • Nick says:

This situation has been created at board level. There is a battle going on which has not been realised and that is between Stan Kroenke and Alister Usmanov. Mr Kroenke wants Arsenal to have large profits so his shares are worth many millions more and then Mr Usmanov will have to buy them at a very high price. So Mr kroenke will only let Arsene Wenger buy player once he has the money in from sales. This situation has upset Arsene Wenger so there is a push, pull going on at Arsenal. Mr Kroenke is really only interested in his own wealth and Arsenal making large profits even if it is to the detriment of the team. This has put Arsene Wenger in a very differcult position as he does’t want to appear disloyal to any board members or share holders. So this instability is being created so that there is a resolution and Mr Alisher Usmanov can take over reinstate David Dein back onto the board and then we will have the Arsenal we all deserve and want. So lets expose this situations so that Arsene Wenger, David Dein and Mr Alisher Usmanov can take Arsenal football club into a new era of success and silverware. Many Thanks Nick
