The Gunning Hawk - ForumMarouane Fellaini

Just like last season, The Gunning Hawk will bring you every day throughout the summer one article with the most creative and sensational Arsenal transfer rumours. To know more about this section and for how long it will be online, kindly visit our forum.

August 30

Two days left. If Arsene Wenger means business in respect to strengthening the squad, time is clearly running out for his team. In the meantime, below are today’s players linked with a possible move to the Club.

According to Italian website Calcio News 24 (in Italian), the Gunners are ready to make an offer for Gary Cahill, Eden Hazard and Marouane Fellaini. The situation with the first two is complicated as Bolton are not ready to let the Englishman leave for cheap and Eden Hazard has again insisted that his future is in France. As for the Belgian, he’s young, has Premier League experience and was one of the best players when the Gunners played Everton last season.

In other news, Fanatix believes that the Gunners are ready to make a move for Tottenham Hotspur target Leandro Damiao. Aged 22, the Internacional striker won his first cap for Brazil in a match played, incidentally, at the Emirates Stadium although with Monaco’s Park Chu-young reportedly set to sign today, it seems the Korean will be the striker Arsene will sign to strengthen the offensive department.

And before moving on to today’s poll, a look at yesterday’s poll in which we collected more than 2,000 and with Raul Albiol getting more than 1,000 votes and Xherdan Shaqiri going close to the 750 mark.

As always, please let us know your preference on today’s linked players and don’t be shy to join the discussion in our newly-launched Arsenal forum.

  • Cameron says:

I would really like to see Fellani in an Arsenal shirt. Would do wonders for our defence and team composition.

  • Jackson 11 says:

We have Song and Frimpong. Why do we need Fellaini?

    • Gray says:

We have no need for these players. I would rather a player like dos Santos he is creative and can score goals and would fit in out 4-3-3 perfect

  • Brendan Maxi says:

dont mind who wenger signs 4us so long they hav experience than the lansbury, chamakh, lazy arshavin. Our team is soo shallow, the worst arsenal squad ever! If we dont sign expect another 12-1 battering from mancity, 3-0 to bolton, 5-0 to chelviski. We cant compete with current squad, we’ve to find a playmaker to replace cesc, LB, CB or else we gona play coca cola league!

  • yobra-Kenya says:

I just don’t care who you buy…..just bring someone

  • Jason says:

Both are not neded. We need a creative midfield, a strong defender. Park should be enough to back up, we don’t need too many of them. Fellaini nowhere close to creative midfield too.

  • Taban Phillip Otto says:

spend money to get some thing better

  • Pri says:

Try to see csk moscow striker welliton….n Metalist Kharkiv fc striker taison

  • Ronak says:

Don’t know much about Park Chu-Young but Fellaini would be perfect

  • chris from Cambridge says:

This is ludicrous. We could have sorted all this … weeks ago. Instead we are desperately phoning round with 2 days to go … trying to find someone who might play for us !!!

    • silky dines says:

totally agree, dude. cesc was always leaving. should have bought gourcuff two years ago, and we could have been way better off in the market much earlier.

  • Gwin says:

It is obvious our votes on this site don’t count. But for fun’s sake we shall keep voting. Back to the discussion, I’ll like to see Fellaini in an arsenal shirt but I’ll prefer we use the money for Leandro Damiao to address other pressing issues(creative midfielder and defence) within the squad since Park is signing.

  • kyei says:

this is what happens when wenger fails to see the light…we r now running around for players..crap

  • David says:

Look like Arsenal could not sign with their first choice player in the transfer market. Why don’t they pick from the under 16 team….Huh

  • I think wenger is a gud manager who lack to understand that u can’t play boys alone in today’s English league bt nid to add strong men like snidjer, forlan, tevez, eto, hazard n cahil to meet man u and man c standard if we wnt to compit n come top of d table. So two of d above mentioned f n d should b signed to help up grade d club.

  • barbes says:

Park Young and Santos will be an average signing for arsenal but i think we need a player from the premiership. despite all the odd arsenal should go for Gary Cahill form Bolton he will be of great assistant to the current crisis ongoing in the team especially on the field of play.

  • Sean says:

Here we go again the board have overwelmingly backed Arsene – no surprises there as he makes them profit.

Arsenal are to compensate the supports who travelled to Old Trafford for theabysmal perfromance – tring to appease the supports this way is bribery so the supports back the board and Wenger, priceless.

Regarding transfer activity he is once again running around at the last minute and buying players on the cheap.

Park Young, god help us where is the top quality players he has promismed.

I have had enough of Wengwer please go and take the board with you.

  • Anderson Rocha says:

I´m from Brazil, and I can tell, Leandro Damião will be the Brazilian striker in the next World Cup. He’s an amazing player, had technique, a excellent balance e power kick, also he’s a good header. He, Neymar from Santos (Real Madrid wants to pay €64m) and Lucas from Sao Paulo will be the Brazilian offensive player in the next WC.

Jeez all these transfer rumors driving me crazy. first night i couldn’t sleep because of the trauma of that defeat and now i lost sleep over these rumors. hell i even dreamt that i am signing and persuading Alex(!!) personally to come to Arsenal.God help me!

  • mzeey says:

we need a hero are last hero was henry cesc was a very good player nasri but no hero every team has there hero manu rooney barse messi inter sneijder city tevez last season now your choise even lille hazard
we have good players but not the wazards of football thats what we need plus are weak points need to be resolved CB- LB -MFA -ST our super player must be in the mfa or the st but we can only hope

  • Bouba says:

Well that’s the problem, you don’t know about Park Chu Young because you only watch the Premier League ( that is why England team is so “shyt”, no football culture, that’s why you have foreign managers most of the time )…

Anyway, Park is a proper striker, a grinder and has a “never give up” attitude.
    I don’t need to introduce Andre Santos…
    Same as Per

We still need 2 mid ( a CDM and a creative mid ) and Wenger needs to stop playing his boring 4-5-1 and make sure we have 2 offensive players in the box when the ball is crossed.

An offer has been made for M’Vila and Clint Dempsey ( I would prefer a proper assist specialist like Marvin Martin ).

  • Arsenal Palm says:

L Damiao is the way to go. He has the most upside of all new brazilian talents.

He could be Brazil new CF. And you’re crazy if you think his value is 8mi.

It’d need at least 25 mi.
