Hard to judge overall performance as we couldn’t get the game even on livestream.
But one point that bothers me is AW’s response to a question about defensive coaching.
After coming off a fairly ordinary win, he seems to already have gained back his attitude to the media by saying he wouldn’t answer that question after 36 years of coaching.
Maybe his bravado comes after his boss told the media that he has still got a job.
Bongo says: I really think we should have tried theo up front with Park playing behind. I don’t see why Wenger won’t try it. You need good decision making, good dribbling, the ability to pass a player with the ball at your feet and the ability to cross to be a winger. Theo doesn’t have any of those qualities in any kind of consistent way. He’s a 3 trick pony that would be better served being thrown up front and told to chase through balls and take shots all day. Even running off the ball in that position would cause chaos for the oppositions defence and keep them pinned to their own half all match or get caught out by any ball hoofed forward even from clearances.
