Centre-back Johan Djourou ready to play as right-back if required

With Bacary Sagna and Carl Jenkinson both out injured, centre-back Johan Djourou is ready to take over on the right wing, in the next game, for the Gunners.
Speaking after last Wednesday’s Champions League win against Marseille in France, the Switzerland International explained that he is indeed a central defender but is ready to feature on the right to help the squad and to also play on a regular basis as ultimately he is a lover of the game and his target is to be on the pitch as much as possible.
Asked about the difference between the two roles, the 24-year old confessed that one has a better view when in a central position as on the right the game is completely different and one has to adjust “a little bit”.
Arsenal will tomorrow face Stoke City at home hoping to keep their positive run going and to move closer to the Top Four so as to finally bounce back from a very disappointing start to the season.
Ahead of tomorrow’s game, Djourou said:
I am a centre-back first … I love my game, I love playing football and when I can play, it’s a relief.
So if I have to play right-back to help the team, then I will do it. It worked out against Marseille because I played the final ball for the goal.
But I just want to play football. I have played a few times before at right-back and it’s a completely different game.
When you play centre-back you can see the whole game in front of you but when you’re on the wing, you have to adjust a little bit.
When you are used to something and then you to move, it’s something else. But I’m a player who can play in different positions.

This could be a blessing both for Arsenal and Djourou. He`s an honest player much like Kosceiny and you can rely on him to give it his best. Good luck Johan
