Arsene Wenger: Why you will see more of Chu Young Park

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed that striker Chu Young Park will get more chances, in his regular formation.
Speaking to Arsenal Player ahead of Saturday’s away game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, the Frenchman started by saying that the Gunners should be proud after battling their way past Bolton Wanderers in the Carling Cup as it shows that the players possess the mental strength to recover from a one goal deficit and win games.
Asked about the performance of the South Korean, the Arsenal boss admitted that the 26-year old needed to play and to score adding that he is a very intelligent player who will of course feature again for the Gunners.
On the Bolton win and Park, Wenger said:
For a competition we are supposed to neglect, [reaching the Quarter Finals] is not too bad, of course when you look at the big names that are in there, it starts now to be very competitive.
But we played against a good Bolton side, we were one-nil down but showed the spirit and came back to win the game two-one and that will increase the level of confidence in the team.
[A super finish from Park?] He personally needed that of course but I believe, when new players arrive to the Club you need to convince people that you have the quality to be where you are.
Many people think that unless you are coming with a massive transfer, you know, if his transfer was massive and he scored the goal he scored, everybody would be full of what he achieved.
So let’s just wait for him to show that he has the level to be at Arsenal Football Club and certainly the goal will help him to gain confidence.
[If the goal helps his regular-team cause?] Well, Park arrived on the 31st of August, we are today end of October, that’s two months.
Thierry Henry started to play in November and arrived earlier so it takes some time to settle. He is a quality player, we see that in training.
He’s a very intelligent player and that came out in the game. So overall, I believe you will see more and more of Park.

Not to question the Professor..but wasn’t the point of buying five experienced players in the dying hours of the transfer window to be able to slot them right into the team? I’m a little baffled by the whole Park saga. Because of mandatory military service he was only ever able to play for two and a half seasons, and he’s already two months into his Arsenal career, and has yet to feature in a league game. Call me cynical, but I’m beginning to serious doubt whether the hassle of acquiring this fella was worthwhile..hopefully he’ll prove me wrong in the upcoming months.
