Borussia Dortmund attacking-midfielder Mario Gotze is happy in Germany and will not leave during the January transfer window.
Heavily linked with a possible move to Arsenal, the Germany International explained that he is happy with the Borussians and is ready to respect the contract that expires in 2014, adding that the squad is made up of “amazing players” who always want to impose their football when in action.
In September, manager Arsene Wenger was full of praise for the 19-year old when the two teams met in the Champions League, declaring that he is the most dangerous player for the Germany side as he can score goals and can produce assists for his team-mates.
Fellow Germany International Per Mertesacker was also full of praise for his compatriot when saying that he is a young player who despite his age is already very technical, is quick and has an eye for goal.
On his future, however, the player said:
I am really happy here. That is all that counts. I have a contract here until 2014 and I am more than happy.
I think you can see that too and that is why I am happy to be here. We have so many amazing players in our side.
[We] try to push themselves to the limits in every training session and every game.
We try to impose our football and every player contributes to that. That is why I am enjoying myself so much here.

I don’t think he is required, to be honest. When Wilshere gets back (hopefully around the transfer season time), it will be like signing a 30 million player.
