The Game
After nine consecutive positive results in England and Europe, Arsenal today want to make it ten as they welcome Fulham at the Emirates Stadium.
Rotation is a word that is starting to be used more and more often and it makes sense of course, considering that we will soon play eight games in a month between December 3 and January 2 but is it wise to rotate today and if yes, who to rest?
As I said in the preview, I would start with the same starting eleven who started in mid-week with the only exception of Gervinho who let’s face it, can be adequately replaced by Andrey Arshavin.
Andrey has been an enigma over the last two seasons, never able to replicate the form we appreciated when he joined in the January transfer window of 2009 and even though Arsene insists that he has been a big asset, in our midfield, we all know that the truth is another, with the man himself admitting that his form has been very disappointing.
But, I want to believe that sooner or later the Russian will bounce back and if he does so next month it will be great for him, for Arsenal and for us of course as he’s always a joy to watch when he performs.
Anyway, things are indeed looking brighter for our beloved Arsenal after a terrible season start and today we can register yet another win, increase our confidence even more and of course, continue to move closer to the Top Four and top of the table.
And, until you wait for kick-off, check out the latest news on Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs, Abou Diaby and Carl Jenkinson and also why Mikel Arteta is an extremely important player according to manager Arsene Wenger.
