Organisation, the people and the way they work – three reasons why Arsenal’s Andre Santos opted for the Gunners during the summer transfer window.
Speaking to Arsenal Player, the Brazilian was full of praise for manager Arsene Wenger and the rest of the staff as he explained that he had no trouble to settle down as everyone was nice to him and his family after he left Turkey, for North London, in August.
Asked about joining a Club that was going through a very negative period, the 28-year old declared that he took it as a personal challenge and how his objective was to help the Gunners improve, something that he managed to do after taking over from Kieran Gibbs on the left.
On Saturday, the Brazilian is expected to start away at Wigan after not featuring in mid-week with the Gunners to shift their focus back to the English Premier League after crashing out of the Carling Cup.
On why he joined the Gunners, Santos said:
[Joining Arsenal] was incredible, for me, Arsenal is the number one Club in the world, in terms of organisation, people and work.
Here, I found a family, people that really care about you and your well-being and your family.
In this short period I’ve been here I can only say good things about Arsenal, they’ve given me all the support I need.
I just thought it was going to be a new challenge and I love challenges. The Club was going through a difficult time and I just wanted to start playing and help the Club get better.
All the clubs I’ve played for have been like this, we grew together and I believe that with Arsenal things will be no different.
